Author Reading by David Setnicker along with Illustrator Lupi McGinty

Born in Biwabik, Minnesota, David Setnicker wrote the story of Schatzie the basset hound’s adventures years ago while living in California. Lost on the Fourth of July is based on a true story and with charm and humor blends Setnicker’s Slovenian heritage with the cultural rich ness of life in a small town on the Iron Range. Lupi McGinty’s comics and illustrations have appeared in The Nib, My Little Pony, Votes for Women, and the award-winning indie series Cartozia Tales. She has exhibited in the U.S. and abroad, with work appearing in Fanzines Festival Paris, the Harvard Radcliffe Institute, and galleries right here in Minnesota.
